This coming Wednesday’s featured game will be The Adventurers: The Pyramid of Horus. I had the opportunity to play this game on Thursday, and it was quite a blast. Come on it and enjoy it.
Howdy !
I can say that with this nice weather. Driving that car simply puts a grin on my face….makes me feel good.
At our last shipbuilding class we were discussing a get together with our old cars, which brings up a point that I enjoy helping you get into more enthusiasm on your model builds….
I found out our retired Lt.Col. Bobbie has the hots to do a WWI Sopwith Camel….now, at that show I attended in Las Vegas, guess what ONE model I personally carried back with me? Go figure.
Later this week a rather large shipment will be arriving with at least ten gazillion parts-I gained a master shipbuilders’ estate…so we can offer you a rather large and diversified group of things…it’ll take several weeks to sort em out….maybe when we do the next shipbuilding class next Saturday….and I hope to see more of you there…??
In fact Bridgetowne will be presenting a really cool pair of tweezers to one of you at the next ship class.
A good show in Las Vegas for the modeling world, good learning experiences for Yvonne and I , and some direct discussions with various of our suppliers.
Take heart, be a bit patient as Bridgetowne is working on bringing your modeling experience a bit of excitement….and when you stop in for a visit, be SURE ( hint hint ) to sign our email sheet,,,,
Ciao!!

Over the past few weeks, I’ve listed (and am CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS of listing) a LARGE number of unopened kits, excellent ones that have sat on our shelves for a few years but just never moved for whatever reason. You’ll see a number of rare, long out of production aircraft AND armor kits. In addition to the armor kits, I also have listed (& again will be listing MORE) aftermarket armor detail sets, mostly cast resin & some photoetched brass; SO, if you’re looking for a bargain, or several, make sure to check into our eBay auctions to check them out. Everything has been specially PRICED TO SELL, and we’re hoping you’ll find some things there that will tickle your fancy and make their way into your collection & project list!
… And THAT’S NOT ALL!
UPCOMING LISTINGS will soon include another group of Britains figures, from their “Zulu Wars” series, “War Along the Nile” series, “Bluecoats“ & “Redcoats“ series, mostly! These are all in completely NEW, off the shelf condition, still in the original factory (unopened) packaging … the opening part will be YOUR job! So, keep your eyes peeled for these EXCELLENT FIGURES … you won‘t be able to beat our prices, either! If you missed some of these guys the last times around, here will be another opportunity for you to plug those gaps in your collection.
JUST A REMINDER:
If you’re in the Portland/Vancouver metropolitan area, we can easily arrange for you to personally pick up your purchased items right at our home store! You can also arrange to pay directly through eBay/PayPal beforehand, or at our store counter on the day you come to pick up your items, whichever works best for you. If you’re outside the area, or getting to our store is inconvenient, we of course ship our eBay items on a regular basis, so there’s no problem there!
And once you’ve checked our live auctions, you also might like to spend a bit more time looking through our on-line eBay store (bthobbies) for a larger variety of items, all listed as “buy it now” choices! You’ll find lots of kits, of course, but also some nice & very rare old toys, diecast cars & trucks (of all sorts – commercial rigs, race cars, stock … all sorts of vehicles), plus some really interesting books on a wide range of subjects related to our hobbies!
I look forward to working with you on eBay, or seeing you in the store!!! Thanks! – Conrad (5-8-2012)
We’re planning on playing Shadows over Camelot on May 9th.
Blog has returned…. The Theme we use was upgraded overnight. Perhaps if they would tell us ahead of time.
Oh well, all is better now.
I trust this missive is helpful. Things happening. Saturday off to another Hobby Seminar…this time I get to meet with model manufacturers and various vendors. I am rather a bit more excited about this venture and expect to return to Bridgetowne full of news !!
You will notice subtle changes here-especially in the cabinets around the store. Mark is moving the Airbrush equipment to its own complete cabinet. Bridgetowne carries quite a lot of good product, from compresors to various airbrushes, hoses, parts, and great personell who know our business.
Speaking of Business….Bridgetowne Hobbies and Games have knowledgeable and helpful humans who are working to help YOU make good decisions, to give YOU great service on your needs, be the need games, dice, paints, moulding supplies, models, or any other service we can provide you, including special orders-followed up by a timely phone call when your desired prize arrives.
This weeks Bridgetowne U event, around NOON, will highlight Devlin demonstrating the art of beginner mould-making, You will have the opportunity to see, and ask questions to gain insight so that yourself can ponder the leap you can make into another world of happiness in modelling. Devlin. Saturday, round noon-plus. Plan on it.
That’s one thing I will have to miss as the jet will not allow me the time to do both. One thing I’ve noticed on the class on wooden ship building is that less and less people show up. May 5th is the nest ship class and I have been, and will continue to be here to assist you. I’ll also have some news from Model Shipways about the second class and possibly some thoughts on which to do. All you in the class will be given your $79.50 full credit upon completion towards your next project….but you have to get the first one done…
Ciao till May 5th….
